How to Care for The GaraMat™

Whilst the GaraMat™ is durable and made to withstand tough weather conditions, the lifespan of the product can be increased by following the simple recommendations below.

The first step is to install it correctly. Please click here for the pdf instructions.

The GaraMat™ should be regularly cleaned. We recommend using the included floor squeegee to remove any dirt and push it out of the garage. Once this has been done, you can remove the GaraMat™ and use a damp cloth, hose, broom or pressure washer to clean. Keeping the GaraMat™ clean will ensure that the textured surface can perform at its best. Once the GaraMat™ is dry, it should be put back in the garage to avoid any UV discolouration.

Avoid using detergents and abrasive cleaners to clean the GaraMat™ as the chemicals can damage the PVC material. The PVC material is also flammable so make sure to not use any flammable liquids or smoke near the GaraMat™.

To avoid punctures in your GaraMat™ do not use snow tires or studded tires. Also make sure to drive over the GaraMat™ at a slow speed and in a straight line (do not turn tires on the mat). Excessive speed can put a large amount of stress on the GaraMat™ and cause damage to the PVC material.
