Weather Stop®: Seeds of Innovation
The inception of GaraDry® traces back to an online spares parts business known as Weather Stop®. In 2009, Ashley, by this time already a qualified industrial designer, founded Yellow Product Design Ltd in the UK, giving birth to the Weather Stop® brand. This marked the genesis of garage door threshold seals designed to combat water and leaf ingress, setting the stage for the innovation to come.
GaraDry® Goes Global
The success of GaraDry® in North America led to the establishment of GaraDry LLC in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2017. The brand gained momentum, prompting the merger of Weather Stop® and GaraDry® into a unified global identity in 2022. His Majesty The King approved the Prime Minister's recommendation, acknowledging GaraDry® for three consecutive years of exceptional sales growth in overseas markets.

A Celebration Fit for Royalty
An award ceremony, held on 24th November 2023, was graced by the presence of HRH The Duke of Gloucester. The Duke paid a special visit to GaraDry to present the award and partake in a tour of the premises. The event was attended by Ashley Dalton, MP for West Lancashire, Councillor Maureen Nixon, Mayor of West Lancashire, alongside other distinguished guests.
Ashley Dalton commended GaraDry's recognition, stating, "It is great that innovative companies like GaraDry are recognised in this way, and I'm sure this will inspire them to grow even further and continue to do great things on the international stage."
Ashley Smith, earlier in the year, attended Buckingham Palace to celebrate the company's achievement. After being presented with the award by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, Ashley said, "We are thrilled to receive the visit from HRH The Duke of Gloucester, who presented our team with this award that will now take pride of place in our reception."
